A lil frothy yellowy drink in a low glass. A lime wedge sits atop a cubular iceberg peaking through the snowy-topped drink.

An amazing discovery was made with this wine cocktail. It tastes strongly of lychee. Undeniably, the combo of fresh pineapple juice, elderflower, and lemon-lime is just floral-enough, just weird-enough, and just juicy-enough to be a lychee analogue.

It was an amazing discovery! And oftentimes these discoveries happen because of happy-little accidents or total coincidences (like the presence of fresh pineapple juice in my fridge from a very Pina Colada filled weekend). It was also cool to see that foamy layer form on top of the cocktail as you fill the top with the soda. Maybe that's the power of fresh pineapple juice striking again, or maybe some interplay with the wine (which I know I haven't made too much mention of).

A quick note on the taste of the wine. It evidently is to taste like Spring (it's a one of their seasonal wines so makes sense it's May at the time of this writing). It has notes of fresh citrus and a texture akin to cream or butter. A very pleasant wine. I'm also obligated to say that nothing of what I've covered so far is sponsored in any way. I and my associates just think their wine's are tasty 🙂
