In a Galaxy Far, Far Away a planet named Alderaan prospered. A metropolitan civilization of culture. A planet with beautiful mountains and snow-topped peaks. And it gets blowed up by that big ol' Death Star with a super-freaking-laser beam!
I tried here to best capture the image of that green beam of power striking a blue planet utilizing a trick where we place liquid inside of a partially frozen ice sphere. Our Death Star (ice mold) gets "charged" with superlaser beam liquid, and then we break it overtop of our planet. Cinematically, it was pretty cool to watch the cool blue hue of the planet-liquid get completely fubar'd by the laser-liquid above.
Taste-wise, the final product was very Sambuca forward, having a prominent note of licorice which was balanced out quite well with lemon, orange, and melon flavors. The gin served to booze things up a bit and allude to a more earthy, planety spirit (however, as flavor is concerned you could sub for vodka). Overall, I've yet to have a Sambuca drink that showcased it well alongside other spirits, so this carnage is a total win in my book. Plus, it's one less planet that we have to worry about, so... ya know, win-win.

- [Sphere] 1 oz (30 ml) Melon Liqueur (Midori)
- [Sphere] 1 oz (30 ml) Orange Juice (Tropicana)
- [Sphere] 1 oz (30 ml) Sparkling Wine (90+ Cellars)
- [Sphere] 1 oz (30 ml) Lemon Juice
- [Planet] 1/4 oz (7 ml) Butterfly-Pea Flower Infused Gin
- [Planet] 3/4 oz (22 ml) Sambuca (Romana)
- [Planet] 1 oz (30 ml) Gin (The Botanist)
Method: Partially freeze an ice sphere, and pour out the liquid center. Pour our sphere/laser liquid into the sphere and place above a glass filled with our planet liquid. Stab to combine.
