Bringing things back to the 1800's or so, General Burnside was a general who suffered some sick burns (metaphorically speaking) during the trials and war-bound tribulations of conflicted times of American history. He was a fan of a drink similar to a hot toddy!

A very pleasant drink sure to soothe and warm the soul! It is a great way to use orgeat (a normally almondy cream substance) as a sort of creamer to a lemony tea!
