Dark espresso sits below a thick white crema sprinkled with chocolate... it appears to be inviting you for a sip.

I've never been NOT tempted to purchase an espresso martini at every restaurant that serves them. At its base, boozy coffee tastes amazing. Now, I personally drink my coffee black and like my drinks well-spirited, so I'm quite literally just appealing to my own preferences here.

But let's stop talking about coffee for a brief second and turn our attention to chocolate. Specifically, those hazelnut cocoa balls of gold-foiled renown, Ferraro Rocher!

Reddit user MarcusB97 shared a recipe that attempts to capture the coupled combo of cocoa and hazelnut in this form of latte. Now, when it comes to nut-liqueurs, I love this bottle of pecan-flavored praline liqueur that I picked up down in South Carolina (the brand name is Evangeline's and it's Anna's favorite).

The Ferraro Roché Espresso Martini result which does utilize freshly brewed espresso from the most economic of pressurized kitchen-top appliances tastes lovely! Again, I'm a sucker for anything that tastes like bitter dark chocolate, and that's exactly what we have here. Overall, not too different in flavor than just vodka, espresso, and a bit of simple syrup shaken together. There's this extra bump of sweetness from the praline liqueur and of course the lavish layering of chocolate syrup that bolsters every other sip.

In a way, it's nice that this iteration of espresso martini keeps you hooked until that very last sip. It's either a good drink, taking advantage of my mild caffeine addiction, or something else entirely!
