Pink liquid in a martini glass. Freshly impaled cranberries and some dank green herb (you know, thyme). Dope drips on the bar.

I've never actually had a cosmopolitan before so going into this cocktail was going to be a new experience for me. It wasn't until I did research for this blog post did I realize that the name of the cocktail is actually a little redundant.

As someone who is a bit averse to things that are sour, I was surprised when the tartness of this drink was welcoming! Maybe it was the mention of Grand Marnier, or the addition of the thyme sprig, but this version was very herbally satisfying. Tart, piquant, refreshing, and pretty-looking too! There was also this very satisfying 'popping' sound as we skewered the un-frozen cranberries that really vibed with what I think is my primal side.
