Lastly, we covered how to use popcorn in your cocktails. You can infuse a lot of things in liquor, popcorn and butter included! By taking popcorn-infused rum and combining it with coke, we concocted a beverage evoking the vibe of a movie theater (AKA, the cinema)

What we encountered was a rum & coke like no other... If you've ever spilled cola into your theater popcorn, and then proceeded to sip up the slush, you've probably made a better libation then what we constructed.

It was weird... really weird.

If anyone has any other ideas on what to use popcorn-infused rum with (it really does taste and smell like buttered-popcorn), please hmu. There's quite a bit of it left.

Notes: To make Popcorn-Infused rum take some fresh popped popcorn (20 g) and let sit in rum for an hour. Strain the liquid afterwards. For every bottle (750 ml) of rum steeped, add a warm 1 oz (2 tbsp) of butter to the rum and let sit at room temperature for 24 hours. After the day-long steepage, place in the freezer to separate the solids from the liquids for about 3-4 hours. Strain the solids out and observe your "masterpiece"
