Aku Aku could be any one of the following: A phrase exclaimed during times of excitement, a spirit of the dead prominently featured in Rapa Nui mythology, or that mask that guides Crash Bandicoot around in his video games.

There's also a secret fourth option: the sweet tiki drink that you see before you!

I really had to trust the process on this one because I felt like I was fumbling the whole time to make this. Crushing some ice, inverting a lime wedge, almost poking myself in the process, these were all worth what waited at the end. A sweet and delectable cocktail which was also refreshing.

I think there exists a sour-sweet, lime-flavored Skittle, and this cocktail tastes like you had liquified one and put it in a glass. That sweet, candy-like flavor from the apricot brandy with an addition of cool mint and crushed ice reminded me once more why I love love love tiki drinks. 💚
